One of our most beautiful natives, found in eastern and midwestern North America. This species has narrow, opposite leaves and striking fringed blue flowers, facing the sky, opening in sun and closing at night or on overcast days. In the wild grows in moist thickets and meadows and on seepage banks or the edges of woodland, usually in full sun. Seed wild collected in Ontario. Very limited.
Germination Instructions: Cold treatment required.
