A genus of 65 species. Columbines are one of the most valuable garden perennials and old-fashioned favorites, grown for their beautiful foliage and graceful spurred flowers. As they hybridize freely, the resultant seedlings may produce interesting variation. Seed sown early may bloom late the first season. Sun or shade and moist soil.
